Andoer AN5000 by Andrew Newton Youtube review

Description: Another budget action cam that you can consider is Andoer AN5000. Sporting the Sony IMX078 image sensor & NTX96660 chipset, this cam is able to give you a good footage and stills. Although it’s said 4K there, but notices that it’s only @24FPS. That means you will actually record video in 2K and the size will be interpolated into 4K. The Gyro Image Stabilization (GIS) in this device works very well, reducing any possible shakes. However, in terms of color, there’s a bit unbalanced in it as there’s a fringe of pink in the footage

Pros

  • Able to record video in 4K @24FPS, 2.5K @30FPS, 1080p @60/@30FPS, 720p @120/@30FPS
  • Employs Sony IMX078 image sensor & NTX96660 chipset
  • Video playback runs smoothly
  • Camera footage looks pretty sharp and vivid
  • Package includes sturdy hard case, waterproof case, and mount accessories
  • Has Gyro Image Stabilization (GIS)
  • 20MP still images

Cons

  • Color reproduction isn’t balanced, a bit too pink in the sky area
  • The 4K format doesn’t support the real 4K
  • Video recording is a bit too dim even in the daylight
