Description: MGCOOL Explorer 1S is a budget-friendly camera that costs around $55-$60. Sporting the Novatek 96660 and Sony IMX078 image sensor, this cam may be able to record 4K video but it certainly won’t be true 4K. If you record in 4K with this cam, you’re actually recording in 2K that is later interpolated into 4K's size. The video quality is not bad, especially when shooting in broad daylight, but the low-light mode picture is a bit dark and gray in certain areas. The stabilizer mode is also not working because the video is still shaky even when it's on.
