Whether it’s on the software or hardware side, Android’s fandom cannot deny the strong influence of iOS device over some other Android’s phone that can be seen on the recent releases as one of the prominent examples are the Huawei P10 vs Google Pixel. The P10 is the successor to last year’s Huawei’s smartphone offering in concurrence of Leica in its camera department while the Pixel was released in the late months of 2016 and was the first Google in-house phone. Both of these phones deliver a harmonious Android experience and can certainly best Apple’s phone in a lot of ways. Both of these smartphones are also costly like their look alike and also gives you an irresistible reason to buy them above all else.
Display/Screen (Huawei P10 vs Google Pixel)
Both devices come with a 1080p resolution, where the Pixel delivers a 5 inch display while the P10 is only a 0.1 inch larger . There’s no difference in crispness and the two both delivers a bright and colorful display panels. The Pixel is equipped with an AMOLED panel that gives a deeper blacks and richer contrast. On the other hand, the P10 is being mechanized by an IPS-NEO LCD on the display department and gives you a much brighter white. It’s in your preference which one is your cup of tea. As we call the display department of these phone are in draw.
In terms of camera performance Huawei P10 vs Google Pixel, it’s a close call, as both deliver the best smartphone cameras in the market today. The cellpone Google Pixel provides great images in its 12megapixel camera in f/2.0 aperture, while the P10 is also a 12megapixel shooter in a dual lens set up with the 20megapixel shooter dedicated for monochrome shots in f/2.2 aperture and is co-engineered once again by the Leica brand. Performance wise, the Pixel delivers faster shots and has a better performance in low-light conditions, though the P10 has better black and white images due to the second lens. We see that the Pixel has the slightest advantage here as it delivers more consistently in everyday use and the low-light performance is really a factor to judge how the camera works.
CPU performance is a deal maker, right? And were glad to tell you that it’s a draw once again between these two devices. The Pixel is packed with the Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 821 with 4 GB of RAM, while the P10 is powered by Huawei’s own HiSilicon Kirin 960 also with 4 GB of RAM. Benchmarking tests based on androidauthority.com shows that the Kirin 960 dominates its competitors in both Geekbench single-core and multi-core tests, while the Snapdragon 821 is the clear winner in the AnTuTu test. True to the tests, both of these phones are fast and snappy and can perform the task (for example gaming) without any struggle. Huawei’s P10 comes in an EMUI skin on top of Android 7.0 Nougat, while the Pixel is a pure Android 7.0 experience.
Battery and Storage
Battery and storage capacity is a big factor in considering a smartphone. So in a battle between the Pixel and the P10 we can say that the P10 emerged victorious on this one. The P10 comes with a non-removable 3200 mAh of battery on the other hand; the Pixel is also packed with also a non-removable 2770 mAh battery. At the same time, the internal storage of P10 is at 64 GB while the Pixel is only at 32 GB. The big difference here is the availability of P10 for memory expansion through a micro SD card that the Pixel doesn’t have.
The Huawei P10 vs Google Pixel are both flagship and premium smartphones offering in a price range of $700. The two have a lot of similarity in a way or another but they also have a difference that sets them apart. The Google Pixel is for the Android user who loves the mobile photography and puts the camera above all, while the P10 excels in terms of overall package. We can say that the Huawei cellphone P10 is a bit enticing for us, as it is understandably the latest one compared to the Pixel, as Huawei surely knows what their competitors have and bolsters it in their own P10, resulting in a more enticing device compared to the ones that was already released.
