Vivo v5,  overview + full specification and features.

Vivo continues to manufacture great smartphones at reasonable prices .The Company released the Vivo v5 in November last 2017, and the phone is currently available. It’s no doubt that people love it as there are very positive feedbacks.

Vivo v5 is powered by Android v6.0 (Marshmallow) and uses a Mediatek MT6750 Octa-core clocking at1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 coupled with Mali-T860MP2. The performance of MT6750 is slightly higher than most SOC chips clock at 1.3GHz .Moreover, this chip is equipped with eight cores, four upper and four lower cores that clock at a lower speed and are meant to handle less complex tasks using less power. This means that this system on system chip is very efficient in power saving and very fast especially coupled with Mali –T860 which is one of the best GPU in the Mali family.

Besides specout states that “This processor is based on the Reduced Instruction Set Computing (RISC) design strategy enabling instructions to execute faster, as opposed to the Complex Instruction Set Computing (CISC) design strategy, which is generally slower at executing due to lengthy instructions”.

Size

Vivo v5 is a smartphone weighing 154g with the battery inside. It measures 153.8 x 75.5 x 7.6 mm. Generally this phone is lighter than many phones with similar specifics .7.4mm thickness means that it is quite slim. It’s very easy to hold this phone or slide it in your pocket without looking bulky.

Screen and Display Vivo v5

When you come to display, Vivo v5 spots a 5.5 inches (diagonal) with a 71.8% screen-to-body ratio. The screen is IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen capable of displaying 16M colors and has a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels (~267 PPI pixel density).Also, the screen is protected by the Gorilla glass which means it does not get scratches easily. Not forgetting the metal chassis that oozes elegance.

Vivo v5 comes with a 4GB ram and a32 GB internal memory. This memory can be expanded up to 256 GB using an SD card.The phone does multitask quite comfortably, and space is more than enough for most people.

Camera Vivo v5

Vivo has a dual camera, and it hasn’t disappointed. The primary camera is 13MP followed by amazing features to make the pictures beautiful and brighter. These include phase detection autofocus, LED flash, Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, panorama, HDR etc. It’s surprising that it has a bigger secondary camera which has 20MP.Taking selfies with Vivo v5 is very fun as you are assured of quality. It also makes great videos at 1080p@30fps.

Vivo v5 comes with a Non-removable Li-Ion 3000 mAh battery. Which is very efficient in powering this device.

On connectivity, it packs a Hybrid Dual SIM (Micro + Nano/Micro SD). It also support for 4G Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS + GLONASS and also includes a regular micro USB port with USB OTG support.
