After successfully launched the V5-series Smartphones in the beginning of 2017, the company will shortly release another phone called Vivo V7+. The Chinese tech manufacturer has set the date and place to unveil its new mobile at an event in Mumbai, India on September 7.
With the hype of ‘full screen’ on the Android market nowadays, you can expect that Vivo V7+ will also sport another full display front screen, similar to Samsung’s Infinity Display and LG’s Full Vision. You can see from the event invitation above that Vivo V7+ will also follow the trend of bezel-less design, having a thin chin at the top and bottom bezels (probably for sensors) and show no indication of physical ‘Home’ button.
Since this Smartphone will boast a fingerprint reader, it’s presumably the fingerprint sensor will be positioned on the back of the phone. We don’t know for sure if it will use the same angle as in Samsung’s.
The invitation shows an eye-catching line that reads, "Redefine the selfie experience with the revolutionary selfie camera." This could mean that V7+ will highlight the selfie cam experiences just like its predecessors, Vivo V5s. To refresh your memory, we will recap below the specs of Vivo V5s.
Vivo V5s Specification
It’s a common secret that Vivo has a good front camera. The previous Vivo V5s employs a 20MP selfie cam with a ‘Moonlight Glow’ front light and f/2.0 aperture. It also has another additional camera app called ‘Face Beauty 6.0’.
Just like Oppo, this Smartphone brand highlights its front snapper ability to take a selfie image. Vivo V5s, however, sports only a 13MP rear camera, less good if compared to HTC U11 that boasts a 16MP back camera. Vivo V5s’ back camera supports PDAF and dual-LED flash.
The predecessor of Vivo V7+ uses dual-SIM card (Micro + Nano) and runs on Funtouch OS 3.0 alongside Android 6.0 Marshmallow Operating System. Unlike its successor, Vivo V5s uses neither the full-screen display nor the bezel-less design so the fingerprint reader is still by pressing the physical Home button.
Vivo V5s measures a 5.5-inch HD IPS 2.5HD Curved Glass display panel with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels and 267ppi. This Android handset uses Corning Gorilla Glass 3 to protect the screen.
For the hardware, this phone is powered by a 1.5GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6750 SoC coupled with 4GB of RAM. In terms of internal storage, Vivo V5s offers a 64GB in-built memory that supports expansion via microSD (up to 256GB) in a hybrid dual-SIM format. This phone has a sufficient amount of a non-removable 3,000 mAh battery capacity and priced at $280.
Vivo V7+ Specification
According to rumors, Vivo V7+ will have a 5.5-inch SUPER AMOLED FHD display screen. It will use Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor and will be shipped with 6GB of RAM.
For the internal storage, this Android handset will carry a 128GB in-built memory and sports a 3,500 mAh battery capacity. Vivo V7+ also said to run on Android 7.0 Nougat Operating System and Funtouch OS 2.6 on top.
