The 5 inch device with a 2.5D curved glass with round fingerprint reader on the rear side is available in Matte Black, Cherry Pink, and Champagne Gold colors, where the body materials is boastfully made of metal, compared to the Redmi Note 4, in 139.24 mm height, 69.96 mm width, and a thickness of 8.65 mm. The device weighs the typical 150 grams (5.29 ounces), with an overall volume of 84.26 cm3.
The phone comes with a 5 inch capacitive Multi-touch In-plane switching (IPS) LCD display in 720 X 1280 pixels resolution with a density of 294 pixels per inch. The aspect ratio is at 16:9 with 24 bit color depth in a 70.98% display area. This mobile phone runs in the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system in a MIUI 8 user interface powered by a non-removable 4100 mAh Lithium Polymer battery type that supports fast battery charging with a Micro USB 2.0 connector. The camera hardware is packed with a Complimentary Metal-Oxide Semiconductor (CMOS) sensor both in the primary and secondary camera. The primary camera of Xiaomi Redmi 4X sports the 13 megapixel 5 elements lens shooter in f/2.0 aperture withan LED flash that’s capable of video recording at 30 frames per second, while the front-facing camera equipped the 5 megapixel shooter in f/2.2 aperture that’s also capable of video recording at 30 frames per second. This Redmi 4x is a dual SIM smartphone that houses the Nano SIM and micro SIM and supports the GSM, CDMA, Td-SCDMA, UMTS, and LTE networks. In terms of connectivity, the options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth 4.2, and USB On the go.
The Redmi 4X is powered by 28 nm 64 bit 8 cores (octa-core) ARM Cortex-A53 Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 MSM8940. The first 4 cores are clocked at 1.4 GHz, while the other 4 cores are clocked at 1.1 GHz in support of 2 GB or 3 GB single channel LPDDR3 RAM at 800 MHz. The graphics work is powered by Qualcomm’s Adreno 505 at 450 MHz to enjoy graphics hungry gaming and movie watching that you can store at 16 GB or 32 GB storage, depending on the variant, with support for memory expansion up to 128 GB through a micro SD card. The 2 GB RAM plus 16 GB is said to be priced at Chines Yuan (CNY) 699 ($101.35) , while the 3 GB of RAM plus 32 GB storage will be sold at CNY 899 ($130.37). According to GSMarena.com, the Xiaomi Redmi 4x is expected to be released on March 3, 2017.
