Rikomagic MK80 TV box

Rikomagic MK80 by Liliputing Youtube review

Description: The Rikomagic MK80 can run any app that you download via Google Play. Moreover, it also has wider selections of input options than most TV boxes in its range. However, you might notice that this Rikomagic MK80 runs on Android 4.4 KitKat OS, which is very old (Google has recently released the Android 8.0 Oreo OS). With that rustic Operating System, certainly you can’t really expect the TV box to deliver a performance like the Sunvell T95R Pro or the Beelink GT1. The good point is you can operate it just like a normal TV by using the IR remote.

Pros

  • Use the Allwinner A80 with four 2GHz ARM Cortex-A15 processor
  • Employs four-cores 1.3GHz ARM cortex-A7 CPU & PowerVR G6230 graphics
  • Supports dual-bands Wi-Fi, Bluetooth & SATA connector
  • Able to navigate the TV box launcher by using the remote control
  • Pre-installed with Kodi 16.1
  • System still runs well in Multitasking
  • Included IR remote supports a Mouse Mode
  • User friendly & easy to navigate

Cons

  • Running on Android 4.4 KitKat OS
  • Launcher ‘s web browser doesn’t support right-clicking function in mouse
  • Benchmark result is so-so (like in the middle of the pack)
  • A bit overpriced
  • Skin model looks boring
  • 4K videos don’t play well (either has audio with no visual or vice versa)
  • Contrast setting might be too intense
