Description: Compared to the other budget dash cams on its price range, the Viofo A119S may not be worth your money. Some of the device’s features can indeed help improve the recording quality such as a CPL filter that can reduce reflections. However, the footage quality will still have problems with details, especially at night. While recording in the daytime, the contrast is balanced and bright enough. The nighttime footage, however, is worse because you will see so many flares from the lamp roads and a bit of a reflection. On top of that, the video will be dark and it’s hard to see any details.

• Colors reproduction in the daylight footage is vibrant and decent
• Audio quality is clear
• Allows CPL filter to reduce reflections

Cons

• Video quality isn’t as crisp-looking and sharp as expected
• The camera sometimes has auto-focus problem
• Parking mode has some issues
• Material is made of plastic
• Flares from the lamp road are very visble in the nighttime recording
• Night filming video is dark and lacks some details
